The Story Behind Blue Blazer

A blue blaze is a marking on a tree, rock, or signpost to indicate a side trail off the Appalachian Trail. Blue blazed trails lead to alternate routes, scenic overlooks, waterfalls, water sources, campgrounds, or any number of sights worth seeing. A Blue Blazer is an individual who, despite the long and grueling trek, takes time to get off the main path and enjoys the sights along the way.

We work with clients to map out a path that allows them to feel the satisfaction that they not only achieved their vision but took the time to enjoy themselves along the way.

Meet Laurie

Laurie Hazel Patton is the founder and owner of Blue Blazer Leadership Development LLC. She leverages her experiences and insights gained as an executive at a global consulting firm to inspire and motivate individuals to fulfill their leadership, organizational, and personal goals. She is driven by a purpose of supporting individuals in their self-discovery; charting their own path and moving boldly towards a fulfilling life. Laurie obtained her Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University and is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Associate Certified Coach (ACC). She is certified in multiple assessment tools including: The Leadership Circle Profile, EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 assessments. She has a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University and an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. Laurie has recently traded in business suits and heels for hiking attire to indulge in more time in the great outdoors. She is on her own journey towards self-discovery as she travels the US, living out of a travel trailer.
